Rodney Basketball (FKA Kaipara Basketball) started back in 2017 with the idea in mind to provide a local Basketball club that offers competitive and social Basketball for the community. Since then we have had Two teams (first team in 2019) and run 10 Basketball holiday camps for kids.

Rodney Basketball, when it was known as Kaipara Basketball was founded on the idea with my old coach at college (Anand Govind) that if the coaching is given to the kids while they are at primary school, the talent selection at college will be greater. Since 2017 every year the college teams have gotten stronger and stronger which means we must be doing something right.

Rodney Basketball is now being invited to a tournament in Australia as well as participating in a tournament in Tauranga as a part of our U15/17/19 program.
